Marije&Tijn Leiden

According to Marije and Tijn their daily life is housed in big disorder. This disorder we did not change, the house would not be their house, but we gave space for disorder. The ground floor is created as a big open space with a lot of room for the shambles, Marije, Tijn and their children. It seems like a barn where you can drive inside with your bicycle to offload your shopping straight into the refrigerator. You take the stairs to the hallway on the first floor, completely covered with a glass roof, you pass the rooms of the children and after the next stairs you end up in a small intimate tower chamber as a conclusion of a beautiful passage of light through the house. The veranda in front of the house is not only a place to keep an eye on the children while they play outside, it is also the place of transition from a fully social life towards the fine family gathering.
