In order to be recognized by the UNESCO as wold heritage landscape, the region of the Langhe, Astigiano and Monferrato was advised to find a way to requalify the enormous amount of retaining walls in concrete spread all over the region.
The project consisted of a “file rouge” that connects its territorial context to the different sites through local geographic, cultural and gastronomic information.
A toolbox with designed elements is available, to the inhabitants of the various villages, to join the requalification of their walls. The participation of the villagers promotes social live and reduces maintenance costs.
